Guinevere Ras graduated from the Reinwardt Academy in 2018 with her bachelor's degree. For her thesis she researched the narrative representation of Curaçao's heritage at the Tropenmuseum. As a result, she contributed to the exhibition 'Heden van het Slavernijverleden' and developed a manual for museums to implement cultural diversity.
After her studies Ras immediately started working as a junior exhibition maker at the National Museum of World Cultures. For the Museum Volkenkunde she collaborated on the exhibition 'Healing Power' (2019) and contributed to the renewed permanent collection presentation 'Inspiring Africa' (2019) at the Afrika Museum.
Since 2020 she has worked as a curator at the Nederlands Fotomuseum in Rotterdam. Soon the exhibition 'The Gallery of Honour' will open, on which Ras worked hard with her colleagues.
When time allows, Ras gives lectures, workshops and advice to museums struggling with inclusion through her company Museale Meerstemmigheid.
